I have things like cookies, brownies, chips, salsa, cupcakes, vegetables/dip, and fruit…any other good suggestions?

are these children very small? + to age 4 or 5 im thinking you should try animal crackers and other small non-messy foods, maybe a juicebox?

but for 5 - 11, id go with all that you have listed except for maybe the salsa.
kids are messy and they spill and knock over alot of stuff.
maybe bean dip as a substitute because its thicker and won’t spill.
i think individual bags of chips are better, if the kids are going to be walking around and socializing rather than sitting at a table and eating together.
fruit trays are a good idea, and capri sun packets, bottled water, and light sprite or 7 up. things that are easy on their stomaches.

i hope that helped

Really need to know how old the kids are. Usually at a reception such as that you have cake, cookies and punch but your idea of a veggie tray would add a nice balance.
