Carrots, a small salad, some fruit, yogurt. Pretty much anything that you would eat as a normal healthy snack. If you are having an extreme craving, give into it a little, and then have something healthy after so that you calm your craving, but aren’t filling up on unhealthy stuff.

I ate what ever I wanted too. If I was craving something, nothing else would satisfy that craving….I just lost the weight after the baby was born! They all three were born healthy!

I used to love eating apples and peanut butter or almond butter. Celery too with raisins and nut butters. Go browse the health food store and see what hits you.

Fruits and vegetables.
They are best when uncooked and in raw form. Because many times the cravings are for vitamins. Lightly steaming vegetables will cause less loss of vitamins than other forms of cooking.
If you are craving chips then go for something really crunchy. Carrots and Apples were good for this when I was pregnant.
If you’re craving ice cream then go for something more smooth or make a smoothie out of fruits. Banana’s are naturally smooth.
Sometimes you just want a snack to have a snack. Try low fat Jello or Pudding. Use yogurt instead of ice cream. Look for low fat snack packs. The portions are smaller and healthier than buying the family size bag of Dorito’s. Most of all make sure to drink plenty of water and stay active. Try to eat several smaller meals a day rather than just 3 big meals. That is another little thing that helped me.
Most of all whenever you feel hungry try drinking a glass of water first. Many times it’s because our bodies when pregnant needs more water and sometimes the dehydration pangs are mistaken for hunger pangs.

-celery with cream cheese
-toasted english muffin with peanut butter and jelly
-yogurt
-granola
-fresh fruits
-carrot sticks
-cheese and crackers
-fruit smoothies
-make a pasta or marinated veggie salad and have it in the fridge ready to be dipped into
-frozen yogurt (great for those months when you’re hot all the time!)

I know you have many cravings but fruits, veggies and dairy products would be best to munch on. When I was pregnant all I wanted was green beans, pickles, gummi bears, ketchup and hot sauce. A week before I went into labor, I went to burger king, and ate about 50 packs of ketchup. Now my daughter puts ketchup on everything. Good luck on your pregnancy!!!
