I would think anything individually wrapped and that won’t melt.

I was told they like to have those instant drink packets that mix right into a bottle of water. How about some energy bars, granola bars and chewing gum.

My friends always requested and LOVED:

Easy Mac!!!!!

Powdered drink mix in individual packets so they can just dump them in a water bottle. (Kool-Aid, Crystal Light, Propel, Gatorade, etc…)

Go to Walmart and in the candy section there are boxes full of packs of Skittles and Starbursts. These are individually wrapped and not likely to melt. They can be stuffed in a pocket and taken on missions, etc… Plus, since you’re buying in bulk (to some point) it’s a really good price.

One of the things that was a real treat while I was there were baked goods. I’m not sure how people got these homemade goods there still moist but they did it.
My fellow troops and I would devour them. They never lasted long and we looked forward to getting those care packages.
