I live on a pretty tight budget and it is hard for me to leave my work day to eat on a good schedule. I lose weight best when i eat abot every 3-4 hours. Buying expensive protein bars and what not makes this issue even worse. I know that fruit is a great thing but that doesn’t always make me feel full can anyone suggest and alternatives that I can do that i won’t get bored after a week or two?

i snack on the flavored rice cakes. when i get bored with a flavor i try a new one! they only have like 50 calories each so i dont feel bad eating them!
=) good luck!
If you have a Trader Joes near you, I love their cereal bars and they are not expensive at all. Or find something similar on sale at a local grocery store. Nuts are also a great snack, and again, try looking in a local circular for stores that would have them on sale. Also great are baby carrots and vegetables. You can cut some up at night and place them in some baggies to take with you the next day, and it would be less expensive than buying it pre-cut.
Oh there are soo many good things you can eat for snacks! Besides the ones everyone knows (fruit and veggies), airpop or smart pop popcorn, apple with cheese, yogurt (Danon Light N’ Fit are the best), sugar free pudding or jello, Raw nuts, seeds, pickle with PB or celery with PB, hard boiled eggs, frozen grapes (sounds weird, but they are a great snack), string cheese, baked potato with salsa and garlic salt and some fine chopped broccoli mixed in, Homemade trail mix (only homemade, the other stuff has ALOT of sugar and preservatives), a apricot sliced in half (and dried) with an almond on each half, cottage cheese (low-fat) with fruit, sugar free, or unsweetened apple sauce, oatmeal with splenda or PB for taste, fiber one cereal dry or with milk… your options are endless! Fruit and cheese is my personal favorite, oh and the homemade trailmix. Here is a site I put a lot of good, easy recipe’s on you should check it out for idea’s!
Good luck, hope you find what your looking for!!
