Pumpkin seeds, they have iron in them and are a nice break from nuts. I got them at Trader Joe’s.

Dried fruit, especially apricots; hummus, forget the pita, just hand me a spoon or a stalk of celery or some carrots; wasabi dried peas for a zip in the afternoon; any fresh fruit.

Well, there are some generic ones everyone can buy from any 7-11.

I like to make my own snack though, I kinda justify the eating with all the calories I burned while making it.

My favorite food changes from time to time. But here’s my favorite, it’s kinda tricky at first, but I exercise my patience and hand skill at the same time.

Koloon Stuffed Chicken Wings
2 pound whole chicken wings (use only the 23 section, don’t use the biggest section)
1 cup cooked long grain rice (make it slightly sticky)
3-4 shitake mushrooms, soaked and diced
1/2 cup diced ham
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
salt
sesame seed oil and chili hot sauce to taste.

First, on the larger end of the wing, use a long and thin knife to take out the two bones. (do this carefully)

Mix rice, mushroom and ham together.

Stuff the rice mixture into each wing

Mix soy sauce with the flour and half of the sugar and hot sauce (optional), mix into a slightly sticky consistency. Coat each wing in this mixture and then dip each one into the remaining sugar, then put them in a large microwave safe bowl (ceramic ones are better).

Pour the remaining of the sauce over it, and make sure every piece is coated well.

Microwave high for 15 minutes, at half time, take it out and mix the layer. Return it to the microwave.

Cook longer if necessary.

Well, I just finished eating a pear, strawberries and cream cheese dip. Last night it was hickory smoked ham (fried) and kosher dill pickle spears. Oh, and every night I have a Starbucks Frappucino-chilled in the freezer just until it begins to get slushy.

Fresh fruit like bananas, apples and grapes.
I also like garlic hummus - I dip baby carrots in it. Yum!

My all time favorite is probably any kind of raw vegetable dipped in Ranch dressing.

I really don’t snack. If I am hungry between meals, I will drink hot tea, a glass of skim milk…but a very yummy snack food that might be a little hard to find is Pepperidge Farm brand sesame snack sticks. They are kind of like a stick type cracker with sesame flavor and seeds mixed into the batter. Very rich flavor.

I also like cucumbers peeled and sliced with salt, limejuice, and tabasco sprinkled on.
