Snack foods at Disney?
Kim M asked:
Can anyone tell me what foods are available at Disney? Not restaurants, just snack foods along the way? I heard they have gigantic turkey legs…..any suggestions would be helpful!
Thanks!

There’s basically everything you could think of. Typical stuff for an amusement park, and then some. You’re right, there ARE giant turkey legs! It also depends what park and what area you are in! There’s popcorn, cotton candy, pretzels, candy, etc.
go to disney.com and they list all of their resturants under the dining section. Also try they have menus on their website for the resturants and snack places in Disney
yes the trukey legs are delicious, but kinda pricey $7-8 each, they have all kinds of snack vendors everywhere! If you go to magic kingdom, go to adventureland to the aloha isle or hawaiian isle (i cant remember the name) and get a pineapple float….heaven! Popcorn, candies, pretzels, you name it they have it! Main street USA at MK has the best shops for snacky foods, homemade chocolates and goodies. Oh, how I wish I were there right now!
You can get Mickey’s Premium ice cream bar which is a Mickey Head ice cream on a stick at any of the parks. In the Magic Kingdom you can get a Dole Whip which is soft serve pineapple flavored ice cream (my personal favorite). You also can get freshly baked Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chip cookies. In Epcot they have various carts around the World Showcase that have snacks that coincide with that country. You can get slices of pizza at various carts, egg rolls, there are many baked goods that you can purchase. My suggestion to you is to go to allearsnet.com. They have menus for EVERYTHING in Walt Disney World, even the counter service and snack carts. Hope this helps.
We stayed at Disney back in 2000. One day while at Typhoon Lagoon I kept seeing people walking around with these giant turkey legs that looked so delicious. Eventually, I couldn’t stand it anymore and found a stand that was selling them. Unfortunately, the one I got was really tough and grisly. This is only my personal experience so I would be curious to see what others thought of them. I’m going back again in June and will try them again if everyone else thinks I just happened to have gotten a bad one! As far as snacks go, most are pretty pricey. You might what to pack some snack bars etc. to take into the park with you. Hope this helps.
I’d be sure to check out this site;
and then poke around. For example if you click on Magic Kingdom you can then get the FULL MENU’s and pricing (generally current) for every restaurant. They are all clearly labeled so all you need to do is click on the ones that say Counter Service.
And my favorite suggestion is to be sure to eat dinner one night in Cosmic Rays in Fantasyland. It is one of the most pleasant spots to watch the fireworks from. Just be sure to go a little early if you want to get one of the best tables out by the patio edge. Sadly if the menu is right they took off an awesome hot sandwich combo of turkey and ham that was one of the best cheap meals in the park IMHO. But fun way to combine dinner and fireworks. Just be sure to secure a space as folks will try to crash in.
BTW here is a link directly to all the menu’s in case you get lost. Hope this helps!
there are plenty of ice cream and popcorn carts in the parks. there are also turkey legs, churros, pretzels, chips, McDonald’s fries. there are beer carts all over World Showcase in EPCOT too if u consider them snacks. in america (epcot) and sleepy hollow (magic kingdom), u can get funnal cakes. they are delicious!!! aloha isle in MK has soft serve ice cream and dole pineapple floats. there’s also an ice cream place in mgm down sunset blvd by rock n’ roller coaster, hand scooped.
Yes there are turkey legs, but lots of other things, too!
At most of the parks you can find:
Pretzels, popcorn, churros, cookies, candy, mickey bars (chocolate covered ice cream on a stick in mickey form), chocolate covered bananas, french fries, frozen fruit bars, fruit, hot dogs, pickles, slushies, funnel cakes, ice cream cookie sandwiches
Some of the special things to get:
In Magic Kingdom
baked potatoes (@ the Liberty Square Carts)
eggrolls samosas (@ Egg Roll Wagon)
dole whips dole floats (@ Aloha Isle pineapple/soft serve thing–some people believe that this is the greatest invention ever)
French Toast Loaf (@ Main Street Bakery)
In MGM
Steamed buns (@ Herbie’s Drive in)
Grapefruit cake (served at Brown Derby, but can sometimes be found at Starring Rolls Bakery)
In Animal Kingdom:
Chai latte freeze and Fruit Tea Freezes (@ Royal Anandapur Tea Company)
In Epcot:
All the countries have snack stands. Some of the highlights are:
School Bread in Norway (slightly sweet bread, filled with custard and topped with icing and coconut)
Kringle in Norway (pretzel with icing and almonds)
Napoleon in France
Grand Marnier Slushie in France
Kaki Gori in Japan (like a snowcone, but better)
Margaritas in Mexico
Pastries in Morocco
Carmel Ginger Ice Cream in China
