Zephyr asked:

I need suggestions for foods that are available from major supermarkets in the UK, do not need to be refridgerated, do not need to be heated/cooked, will not melt in the heat (so no chocolate!), have a shelf-life of about a month (so no fresh fruit!), and come in waterproof and crush-proof packaging (so no crisps or nuts!), and can be eaten straight from the container/packaging.

I’m not asking for much, am I? :^D

It is going to be thrown into a rucksack and used only as snack food so does not have to be super-duper-calorie-packed energy bars. So far, all I can think of is Peperami!

well, I used to go camping when I went to scouts - I would always bring loads of snacks in my rucksack even though we wern’t allowed to!!

1 TOBLERONE YUM YUM YUM - I adore toblerone!!
2 Snackajacks
3 Food Doctor Apricot Almond Bar
4 Food Doctor Fig Mango Bar
5 Clearspring Japanese Rice Cakes Sesame
6 PRETZELS!
7 If you put biscuits ect in a container, they won’t get skwashed, but a container could take up a lot of space in ur rucksack - I used to wrap ‘em up in my towel!!

I realy hope that I was of some help to you!!

HAVE A GREAT CAMPING TRIP!!!

PS I just rembered - rasins - sundried are the best in my opinion!

AND CEREAL BARS - how could I forget! here are the best - well, as far as I’m concerned:

Nutrigrain - especially blueberry flavor
cocopops cocorocks
ect, ect

+ I liked to buy a box of ceral, and then keep a plastic spoon in the box and eat some whenever you like - sugarpuffs are great for this!
