An open question to women in general, about guilt and eating snack /unhealthy foods?

Strange Design asked:

Have you ever felt guilty for eating something that had fat, carbs or sugar in it? Or do you think this is mostly an incorrect perception (that women feel bad after they eat something ‘unhealthy’)?

I do feel bad after I eat something unhealthy. I am trying to loose weight. Down 25 pounds so far. When I eat something bad I’m only trying to fool myself. Pick self up, dust self off and start again. Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!

If people are dieting they generally feel guilty when they break it, however I don’t think that women feel guilty when they eat something that isn’t the best for their bodies. Live and let live.

Frankly a healthy body is better than a skinny one.But women are expected to have a perfect body by everyone. It is impossible for most of us and we feel guilty for having a little flab here and there.I lay the blame at the media’s door

Absolutely, but I do it anyways. I go for the instant gratification and then beat myself up afterwards. It’s a vicious cycle.

I am a man who always feel guilty about eating unhealthy food. It does not really show in my facial expressions or body language, but after the consumption of the unhealthy food (stuff that is too oily or sweet), I usually compensate by drinking more water and eating more fruits. Perhaps this is not a gender-specific issue :P

Yes. I advise people to stay away from fried foods and junk foods, but occasionally find myself craving, then eating them myself. It does get me going on a guilt trip.

it really depends upon your state of mind. If you are ok with your weight, you wouldn’t care so much. But if you have issues with your weight then your probably would feel guilty.
